Button, button, who’s got a button?
Santa has one.
A witch has one.
A dog as cute as a button has lots of them.
Do YOU have a button?
Buttons has become part of my son’s bedtime routine. Every time we finish reading we set out to see how many buttons we can find. -Mari Morris, parent
As a grandmother and former librarian, I love this charming approach to demonstrating fundamental ideas. With engaging drawings to initially draw a child’s interest into the book, the concepts of colors, shapes and opposites are seamlessly woven into a few pages. Most refreshing is that the simple prose manages to introduce elevated vocabulary. Such a novel idea! -Doreen May, grandmother and former librarian
Buttons by Karen Pickrell and Laura Ambrosio is a delightful picture book filled with whimsical characters displaying various sizes and types of buttons. I loved the zoomed-in images of the colorful characters proudly displaying their buttons. I was surprised to find that I enjoyed the clever picture of the thread just as much as the buttons! Parents and children will be charmed and eager to turn each page together to discover each new set of buttons. I highly recommend this book! – Ruth Gray, educator
